What is the Plasmasculptra advantage over other procedures?
Dr. Dyson’s patients spoke. She listened. Many of her patients desired to look younger but were afraid that fillers would make them look “fake” or “too done” like many celebrities. They did not want to look “too cheeky” like a chipmunk. Dr. Dyson searched for a procedure that would create a natural look while treating difficult areas like under the eyes, the crepey neck, and the lower third of the face. She found Plasmasculptra. It is a non-surgical procedure performed in the office. It generally results in minimal bruising, swelling, and downtime.
What is Plasmasculptra?
Plasmasculptrais a combination of Sculptra (PLLA* – Poly-L-Lactic Acid) and PRFM (Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix) commonly-known as PRP created by a physician. It is a minimally invasive non-surgical procedure that stimulates your body’s collagen and elastin while building your skin’s natural support structure. The result is youthful-looking skin, increased facial volume, and improved appearance of crepey, sagging neck skin.
Dr. Dyson’s Platelet Rich Fibrin Injection Experience
Dr. Dyson was the first in Washington D.C. to inject the Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix known as Selphyl in 2011. She has been injecting it to rejuvenate the skin and for hair restoration since her initial training. In June 2021, she trained in and added the Plasmasculptra procedure – the combination of the Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix and the filler Sculptra to her armamentarium of procedures.
How does Plasmasculptra work?
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and PRFM (Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix) are created from your body’s own blood. Therefore, they are natural products that contain growth factors that heal and generate new skin. When injected into specific areas of the skin, they promote your own collagen to naturally smooth and tighten skin, softening wrinkles while improving skin texture and tone.
When the lactic acid particles in Sculptra break down, the body forms type I collagen which plumps up the skin. The body makes lactic acid naturally during exercise and then breaks it down into carbon dioxide and water. Sculptra Aesthetic is not just a simple ‘wrinkle filler’, but a true volumizer directing your own body to produce collagen – a process called biostimulation. Based upon each individual’s specific needs, Dr. Dyson injects different Plasmasculptra concentrations in different areas of the face or neck. This allows extraordinary personalized results for each of her patients.
Is Plasmasculptra safe?
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and PRFM (Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix) are natural products created from your body’s own blood. So, there is no risk of an allergic reaction or rejection. Sculptra contains PLLA (Poly-L-Lactic Acid) has been widely used for over 35 years in the United States in dissolvable sutures and implants. Its safety and compatibility with the human body is well established.
How many Plasmasculptra treatments will I need?
Usually 3 treatments, but the number of treatments depends on the skin condition prior to the first treatment and an individual’s response to the treatment.
How soon after the first treatment will I see results?
Immediately after the Plasmasculptra treatment, you will see more fullness of the treated areas. The fullness you see immediately after the treatment will dissipate. You will then begin to see results 3 to 4 weeks after the procedure. The results peak (maximize) at 9 to12 weeks after the treatment. Therefore, subsequent treatments are done when the peak of results. Treatments, therefore, are done every 9 to 12 weeks at the time the peak of the results. The number of treatments depend on the patient’s initial skin condition and response to treatment(s). Occasionally, results are seen as soon as 2 weeks after the procedure.
How often will I receive Plasmasculptra treatments?
6 weeks apart
